A Marvellous Redeemer Blog Tour-Author Q&A

Hello everyone!

I’m so excited to have Aleigha Israel on my blog today for an interview as part of her blog tour for her new book, A Marvellous Redeemer.

Hi Aleigha. When did you start writing with the hope of becoming an author?

I can’t even remember the first time I started writing. I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember! The first time I actually realized that I could publish my writing, and truly become an author, was probably when I was around 15. I published my first poetry book soon after that!

What is A Marvelous Redeemer about?

A Marvelous Redeemer is a story of faith, courage, and God’s unfailing love. It’s a story that follows the life of two young believers as they travel through their own unique journeys, each one searching for something different. But each character discovers the same outcome. We serve an amazing, miraculous, marvelous Redeemer.

See the synopsis below to learn more!

She knew the decision would change her life. But she didn’t know she’d have to fight to survive.

When Amira put her faith in Christ, she knew life wouldn’t be easy. But hiding her conversion from her Muslim family soon becomes the least of her worries.

Forced to leave the only home she’s ever known, she travels to the island of Gabeburough, trying her best to make a fresh start.

Two escaped convicts and a treasure map. A leafy paradise that becomes her home. Amira begins to wonder, where is her Redeemer when she needs Him the most?

Caleb Haddington is prince of Carpathia. Life should be perfect, but he can’t get a certain dark-haired girl out of his mind. Amira was his best friend when he lived in France, but her letters to him have suddenly stopped. Her last letter is filled with terror that her faith will soon be discovered.

Only a single hope keeps him alive; when the time is right, he’s going after her. He’ll bring her back and prove to the kingdom that he’s a man.

But the journey proves to be more perilous than he’d ever imagined. Ridicule, comfortless days and the threat of a hurricane are just the start of his problems. Lying becomes easy for Caleb until his own life crumbles before him.

Brought to his knees under the pressure of his actions, he comes to realize the sweetness of his Savior. Forgiveness, grace, and mercy are granted fully to those who ask.

Caleb and Amira soon discover that they don’t just serve a gracious Savior, but a wonderful, magnificent, marvelous Redeemer.

What inspired A Marvelous Redeemer?

I always knew that I wanted to learn more about Amira! Amira was first introduced in the first book in the trilogy “A Higher Ransom.” Amira’s life has a special uniqueness about it. I just knew that her story would need to be told some day!

What do you want readers to gain from your book?

That no matter what, no matter how many times you stumble, no matter how many people try to tell you that God will never forgive you, always remember this; we serve a Marvelous Redeemer. A Redeemer that gave His very LIFE so that you could be saved! He loves you, He cares for you, you are His. So, remember that and don’t ever let it go.

Have you written any other books and where can we get them?

Yes, I have! I’ve published six other books. Three poetry books, a devotional book titled “Hidden Treasures” and then the other two books in “A Light for Christ” trilogy.

You can find my books through my website: ALEIGHACISRAEL.COM, on Amazon, through Grace and Truth Books, or online at Barnes & Noble.

Which country would you love to visit?

Just one?! I’d love to visit France someday. Because that’s Queen Anna’s hometown, it was talked about quite a bit in the second book!

Which character was your favourite to write and why?

Hemlock. He’s such a sweet man! Okay, he’s an escaped convict, I’m not sure how “sweet” that really makes him. But, he’s got such a kind heart, (as you’ll soon discover!) and his knowledge of sea creatures is quite impressive. His character was definitely the most enjoyable to write! His personality kept my little siblings laughing!

Where can we connect with you?

I LOVE connecting with other writers and readers!!! I answer every email, message, and comment I ever receive. Those little interactions with others are what keep me going!

I post weekly on my blog: The Pen of the Writer

And I upload some pretty neat games, trivia, events, and SO much more, on my official website! (ALEIGHACISRAEL.COM)

What tips do you have for young aspiring writers?

Don’t give up. (Oh, and join The Young Writer’s Workshop, if you can!)

No, really. As a young writer you WILL be told some point in your writing life that you don’t have what it takes to succeed. That you can’t pursue being an author as your ultimate goal. But don’t believe those lies. I was told by an editor that my first book needed at least seven years of work before I could let anyone read it. A year later, I published that book and have been consistently touched and blessed by the countless emails, reviews, and even a publisher who agreed to carry all of my novels!

You’ll get criticism, you’ll suffer from discouragement. Just don’t ever let it cause you to stop writing!

My first real blog post went by without a single comment. The blog post I had strived over, working until I got every point right. Did anyone even read it? I never knew. Until last week. Someone commented on that post, over a year old now, and thanked me for writing it. They said that it encouraged them so much that they were going to strive to grow stronger in their faith and get more involved in their church. Praise the Lord! So, you see, you never know how your words might impact someone’s life. So keep writing. Don’t ever stop. And seriously, join The Young Writer’s Workshop if you can! It changed my life and I know it will change yours!

Thank you so much Aleigha. And if you want to learn more about Aleigha, simply continuing reading below 😊

May 2018’s Books of the Month Part 2

Hello everyone!

Welcome to part two of May’s Books of the Month, and this book’s really special because it releases today!

About the book:

Something is brewing. Like the far off rumble of a train in the distance, a rebellion is stirring. A cry for change arises in the midst of a traditional monarchy, where King Addison has inherited the throne. Who are the underground troublemakers? What is stirring their defiant banner and demand for change? Find out in The Rebellion! (The Tales of Tarsurella #2) Vanessa Bennett lands her dream job working at the Palace in Tarsurella. She struggles to balance everything on her plate: life in a new country, stressful deadlines, crabby co-workers, college classes at the local University, and blossoming feelings of romantic adoration toward her boss–King Addison. Keeping up with her To-Do list, while trying to earn respect in Addison’s male-dominated administration, presents its challenges. Nevertheless, she can’t help but fight a reoccurring thought and the excitement rising with it: is Addison interested in her? Addison is adjusting to his new role as King. Rumors of a rebellious uprising among the youth in Tarsurella intensifies, as acts of violence and protest break out across the city. Addison is determined to uncover the hidden instigator who fearlessly blogs democracy-driven ideals with a secretive pen name. Will Addison discover and expose the fiery rebellion leader? Or will his efforts fail to stop the rebellious thoughts spreading like wildfire, causing a heartbreaking rift in his divided nation?

What I loved:

Why isn’t Tarsurella a real country? Why aren’t the characters real, especially Vanessa, Addison and his sisters? I love reading about them and Vanessa and Addison’s relationship is so adorable. Has anyone thought of making these books into movies? Everybody needs a dose of Tarsurella 😍

Age Range: 12+

People, if you’re a tween/teen girl, read this! It’s clean, it’s Christian with strong Christian values. It has princesses and royalty- what else do you need to be convinced?

Why I recommend this book:

If you enjoyed The Coronation, you are going to love The Rebellion! It’s so beautiful on seeing how God is constantly at work in us, and He always has something good in store for us, even if we make mistakes, big or small, know or don’t know our future just yet, he is always at work in us, and the results are just beautiful.

May 2018’s Books of the Month Part 1

Hello everyone!

I’m so excited to be doing TWO book reviews as part of Livy Jarmusch’s celebrations for her new book release, The Rebellion- The Tales of Tarsurella Part 2.

Haven’t read book one? Don’t worry, today’s first review will tell you all about it 😊

About the book

Prince Addison is only several weeks away from inheriting the Kingdom of Tarsurella. The entire Palace is ablaze with excitement, as the Royal Family prepares for the event of a lifetime. Despite the exciting event which is near at hand, Addison and his younger siblings (all seven of them!) must carry on with their daily activities. Addison’s sisters, Princesses Bridget, Chasity, and Hope, have their struggles with being iconic European starlets of a modern day monarchy. The teen heiresses grace magazine covers, smile for photoshoots, and gracefully glide through important interviews–until a certain American popstar arrives on the scene. Kennetic Energy, the wildly popular band from the United States, is chosen to play at Addison’s Coronation. David Carter, the band’s handsome lead singer, fumbles through awkward moments with Princess Hope–in front of the cameras. When an embarrassing rumor sparks that Princess Hope is dating the young fellow, she is determined to get the band fired from their Royal gig. Meanwhile, Princess Chasity is dealing with her own fragile affairs of the heart. Her new security guard, Hanson Fletcher, is completely captivating, yet entirely frustrating. She attempts to keep the entrance of her heart firmly protected, while following the wisdom of Proverbs 4:23. But can she be successful in guarding her heart, from her security guard? The Coronation is Book #1 in The Tales of Tarsurella Trilogy.

What I loved:

Oh. My. Gosh! Can I be adopted by the Royal Family? Please? It was so lovely reading about Prince Addison and his family because it reminded me that all famous families are human as well, and we all have feelings and go through many similar situations.

Age Range: 12+

If you love princesses with a Christian tween/teen girl twist, you’ll love The Tales of Tarsurella or anything that Livy writes for that matter 😊

Why I recommend this book:

This is such a beautiful book with so many Biblical lessons: Love, Forgiveness,Family, Friendships, Relationships, Judgement, Jealousy, Internet Safety and the list just goes on. I definitely recommend this book if you need to read about any of the themes mentioned or if you simply want some cuteness and adorableness in your life.

Where to buy this book :

You can buy it on Amazon in any country in paperback or as an ebook. Just search Olivia Lynn Jarmusch, and you will find her author page with all of her books 😊

How about you?

Have you read The Coronation yet?
