Once Upon an Adventure Part 2- The Princess Ambassador Author Q&A

Hello everyone,

It’s part 2 now, and I am so excited to be interviewing Loretta Marchize!

1. When did you start writing with the hope of becoming an author?

Well, shortly before I got the idea for The Fairy Tale Chronicles I knew that I wanted to become a published author (self-published) and so I began researching. So it wasn’t until last fall.

2. What is The Princess Ambassador about?

The Princess Ambassador is part of a trilogy of fairy-tale retellings. It doesn’t have as much of the fairy-tale vibe as the other two books. It’s about Princess Lily.

Princess Lily White has only ever wanted to become an ambassador, and to make a name for herself. But when she gets sent to the Draton Kingdom and meets Prince Nathaniel Draton, will she change her mind?

3. What inspired The Princess Ambassador?

Well, I got the idea while I was about half-way through The Lost Princess. It was really more of an ‘oh hey, Lily would be fun to write about’ Originally, The Princess Ambassador wasn’t meant to be a full-on novella, but I liked it so much I continued writing.

4. Who is the book for and what  do you want readers to gain from your book?

I would say I aim at young teen girls 13-16. I’d be the first to say that this book has a lot more romance than the first book in the series, but I can also say that it’s a perfectly fine book for a younger teen to read. I want more clean, fun romance for teen girls like me, so that’s what I wrote.

5. Have you written any other books and where can we get them?

Yes I have! The Lost Princess, the first book in the series is on amazon.com as both e-book and paperback.

6. Where can we connect with you?

My blog, lorettamz.com is a great place for that, but I also have a goodreads account- and I’d love to meet you! https://www.goodreads.com/author/show/17426459.Loretta_Marchize

7. What tips you have for young aspiring writers?

Push through that first draft! It’s going to be awful, but once you do it it gets so much better. Also, ask for help! Take advice and constructive criticism- but know when you can ignore critism. Read- read as much as you can!
